Siliguri, June 5, 2026: NSS Unit and Social Work Students of Salesian College (Autonomous), Siliguri, observed World Environment Day with an Environmental Awareness Rally from Airview More to Baghajatin Park Courtmore. The rally, organized in collaboration with Save Earth For Life, commenced at 10:00 AM.
Nine NSS volunteers carried posters and raised slogans promoting environmental protection, pollution control, and sustainable lifestyle practices. Along the route, they engaged members of the public in conversations on the importance of conserving natural resources and adopting eco‑friendly choices.
The department of Social Work organised a Nukkar Natak (Street Play) at Baga Jatin Park raising awareness about sustainability and protection of the environment.
The rally concluded at Courtmore with a brief reflection, felicitation, and group photograph. It ended with the signature NSS clap, reaffirming the unit’s commitment to environmental service and community engagement.
